We were contacted by the owner of this house to investigate for paranormal activity.  He had recently purchased the land with plans to tear down the existing home and build a new home in its place.  He had heard rumors over the years of it being haunted and his wife and mother had uneasy feelings about the house.  We went out to the house the same day of the telephone call and conducted a pre-investigation.

This photo is a picture of ghost mist in the laundry room.  During the pre-investigation, several positive photos were captured inside the home.  Orbs were photographed in every room of the house.  Numerous orbs, some very large, were captured outside the home.  Team member Mark took the infrared video camera inside the house and just as he began filming, a bright orb streaked across the camera’s view.  Team member Brenda had set up a tape recorder in one of the upper bedrooms and later played it back to find she had captured an EVP of a man’s voice saying “Oh Rayco”.  It was later found that the name of the original homesteader’s wife was named Rachel.

This photo is of team member Brenda dowsing for possible graves on the property the day of the full investigation.  After covering the entire layout of the property, it was estimated that there were approximately 55 unmarked and non-recorded graves located on the front of the property alone.  Several more graves were located at the back of the property.  Research of the property history, contact with relatives of the original homesteaders and a psychic reading indicate that these are graves of family members and possible Native American Indians.  It is also believed to be the site of a Union field hospital and Civil War encampment.

This photo is of red spirit energy and ghost mist captured on the front porch.  Another photo was taken later that evening capturing white spirit energy in this same area after team members Marian and Brenda heard footsteps behind them.  After the investigation was complete, the owners decided to have a clearing performed on the property.  We asked our friend and psychic Joyce Morgan to conduct the clearing for the family.  During the clearing, Joyce had stated that a woman with an “Ma..” name who had not crossed over because she did not want to leave her rocking chair behind was haunting the house.  The next day, team member Brenda researched the local cemetery records and located an obituary of a woman, who had previous lived on this property, by the name of Mary and in the obituary it recalls her attachment to her rocking chair.
