We decided another hunt was in order due to the shortened nature of our last excursion there. We have had EMF readings that cannot be explained and wanted to see if those readings would be present in the same areas. We hoped they wouldn't be to lend credibility to our last hunt and, we weren't disappointed. A cursory sweep of the area in which we got steady readings of 2.5mG on our August 21st excursion to this site now yielded nothing. However, during the hunt we did begin to get more frequent and stronger readings on the EMF. At one point, about two hours into the hunt, we had a steady 4.5mG reading that escalated to over 5mG. At that same time, Investigator Krabbenhoft reported that that compass he was carrying could not find magnetic north. The curious thing about that and those readings are they seem to be localized at the southern end of the cemetery. This is also the area of the cemetery that we've captured most of our photos on all three excursions to this site. This was our longest excursion to this site and we encountered several sensory phenomena while here. During our August 17th hunt at this location I and Investigator Alexenko were accosted by an almost overwhelming smell of ozone. This hunt yielded another less pleasant smell. I, personally, didn't experience it but, at one point, Investigators Liedahl, Alexenko and Krabbenhoft noted the smell of decay. It was described to me by Investigator Liedahl as similar to rotting grain. The smell seemed to be centralized on Investigator Krabbenhoft and he was forced to leave the sight due to physical illness from the odor. After retiring to the car for a half hour, he returned to the site and experienced no further ill effects.

This was the first hunt that we really tried to acquire EVPs. We encountered multiple entities in different locations of the cemetery. Footsteps were heard by Investigator Liedahl and myself in the northwest corner of the cemetery. It was almost as though the presence was trying to walk without us knowing because one footstep would fall and then there would be a pause and several would follow and then another pause and another couple. I addressed the being but got no audible reply on tape. That isn't to say that there isn't anything odd on the audio tape though. To clarify, we haven't, thusfar, been actively searching to acquire EVPs and so the only tape recorder we have on site is the micro-cassette I carry for my own notes. At three different points on the tape, my voice has been altered. It's almost as if the recorder sped up slightly to record my voice then slowed again as soon as anyone else spoke. This occurs twice while I was away from the group for some reason and once while I'm describing to the group something I've just visually seen. What's even more curious is that all of the phenomena is on the first side of the tape (I used both sides of a 60 minute cassette) so if I had been doing something to create this phenomena, it should have continued on the second side. Investigator Liedahl and myself were paired for most of the time at the site and heard a second set of footsteps on the opposite end of the cemetery. These steps were lighter, that of a child, we deduced. In surveying the area more closely we found ourselves in an area of the cemetery that contained mostly children.

Photographs

Guest Investigator Saari captured this shot and the one shown below. Pictured are Investigators Alexenko (with EMF meter) and Krabbenhoft. In the upper right hand corner is a variation of an orb.

This picture shows the more traditional (if there is such a thing) orb shapes.

This picture was taken by Investigator Liedahl. Note the bright orb in the tree on the right.

Final Thoughts

We have had so many different things happen while at this site on every visit. My theory is that the site is more active than most because the church that was once on these grounds burned to the ground which may have been a traumatic experience for the spirits residing here. I have also come to the thinking that the spirits we've encountered are unable to cross the bounds of the cemetery but are continually trying. I can think of no other reason for the ample EMF activity along it's borders and the almost total lack of contact from within. Although we don't have pages upon pages of pictures to show, nor do we have video or EVP footage from this site, I doubt we'll return anytime soon. However, this site has been what has driven us to go further in this venture. At some point during our time here, all of my team has encountered something that made them think and believe a little more. I hope what I've posted here for your viewing has the same effect.
