Museum and Others

By: exodus125@hotmail.com

I came across your site and started to read some of the stories. All very interesting. I thought I would share with you mine.

About 2 years ago, I was working in a museum in albuquerque, new mexico called the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. I worked in the maintenance department there. This museum was either built on or near an indian burial ground. Native Americans have strict rules about building on burial grounds and sometimes it results in ghost sightings. The first expirence I had with unusual things at this museum was one day in he maintnance room. We were siting there drinking cofee an all of a sudden i began to hear noises coming from the second floor right above the mantenance room. at first i didnt think anything of it. But then i rememebred that the offices that were on the second floor were unoccupied during the weekends, this was a saturday. So finally, seeing that no one else was paying attention to this i asked "whose upstairs doing that?" then all my co-workers began to tell me stories of ghosts and weird noises coming from upstairs whiel noone was there. I honestly thought they were pulling my leg since i was the new guy, but they seemed serious when they were explaining everything to me. Some time later, i was upstairs in the second floor punc ng out for the day. the time card machine is right next to the elevator. After hearing all the ghosts stories, and being the easily scared person that i am, i was uneasy about gong upstairs by myself to punch out. So i go upstais an quickly punch out an jump back in the elevator. I press the 1st floor button, the doors close,,,Then all of a sudden they open up again, like if someone had pressed the button from the outside of the elevator to go down. I freaked out an pressed the button again. The doors closed and as they shut completely, a sheet of paper, probably from the buletin board near the elevator, slid under the elevator door and into the elevator. It flew in as if someone pushed it in, just perfectly. That left me a little scared. Then the last thing that I experienced before leaving,,,I was going to shampoo the carpets on the second floor. I had to go down to the basement level of the building, where the museum is located, to fill the carpet shampooer up with water. There was a small ganetor's room down there which had a large sink that was real low which we used to fill buckets for moping an the shampooer maching. None of the maintenance workers really went in there. But the Ganetorial ladies, who cleaned the bathrooms, used that as there storage room, where they kept cleaning supplies. So i go down there, it was real early, and the museum had not even opened yet. I was the only one down there. So i get in the ganetors room an start to fill the shampooer with water, and in the corner of my eye i see a blur, and at the time, i assumed one of the ganetorial ladies was coming in for supplies, I didnt even look back an kept filling the shampooer. Then i feel someone tap me in my shoulder, i imediatly looked back an none was there, Then i huried to the door, which was baout 3 steps away from the sink an looked out the door. There was noone there, and you can see a ways down the hall before the hall curved, there was no way someone could have tapped my shoulder an then ran to hide. Although i was extremely ared, i somehow convinced myself to think nothing of it, and i quickly went upstairs. I also heard stories of doors opening by themselves there, If any of you ever visit this museum ask anyone who works there if its haunted, I's sure they will share a story with you.

Here is another story.

I had a friend who lived in Canada who lived in an old house, It was 3 stories and ever since they had moved in. They would hear noises, people walking up an down the stairs, down the halls, voices. My friend seemed to be affected the most by these ghostly things, the rest of her family kinda learned to live with it. My friend had acostumed herself to wait for one of her brothers to go to the bathroom before she went at night. Her brothers knew to leave the bathroom light on so that she knew they were up. Then she would go to the bathroom an wait outside until one of her brothers would come out, then shed go in an go back to bed. One night she needed to go an waited an then she saw the bathroom light go on, she walked out an wen she got to the bathroom noone was there. Then she saw a child at the top of the stairs an then it ran downstairs after a ball it droped. She freaked out an ran to her parents bedroom and her dad was so convinced she had seen somehting, he even went downstairs to make sure there wasnt anyone in the house.

I hope you guys enjoy these stories, take care

Haunted House in Turon Kansas

By: Candy@techinc.org

On a street in Turon a house i lived in while I was pregnant with my first child was haunted. You could lay in the bedroom and hear truly evil laugh of a child who sounded to be about 3 years old. Before that laugh always came banging on the wall of the closet. In the upstairs I would get the image in my mind of two little girls in a room that was now sealed off. When I went upstairs I felt scared, and in danger. I went up there only one time and I only lived in the house for 4 months because I couldn't live with the feelings. I felt in danger for myself and my baby. I had a puppy while I lived there that was the sweetest  little thing, but sometimes i could see a different and evil look in his eyes, and I could always tell when this happened because his eyes would also change colors. They would go from dark brown to bright eerie green, almost like they were glowing.

Yesterday a classmate of mine and I were in the

cafeteria talking about ghost stories.  She advised me

of this website and I checked it out the next day.

Some of the places on the Oklahoma website, I have

actually been to more than a few of them, but I didn't

know that they were haunted in any way.  My story is

from when I was a young boy (9 or 10 can't really

remember), we lived east of Lake Thunderbird on

Franklin Road, approx. 6 miles, on the corner of

Franklin and County Line, where Pottawatamie and

Cleveland county meet.  We had 150 acres there,

dirtbike heaven, I was riding my bike in the back 40,

Dad had almost unlimited bike trails for me, Almost to

the very back there stood a large pond (almost 1 acre

in size), a very sharp curve around it, behind it

stood very dense woods.  It was at dusk and as I

started around the pond on my bike, my bike just shut

down, have no idea why, it just shut down.  I messed

with it for a while but couldn't get it started.  I

started pushing it toward the house when I heard alot

of movement in the brush behind me.  I put the bike on

its kickstand and just froze, a large pack of dogs,

about 12 maybe 15 came out of the brush, they hadn't

seen me yet or at least I didn't think that they had

seen me, but when they did all I heard was growls and

teeth being shown.  As my dad taught me, I started

moving toward the pond very slowly, he had told me in

the past that there were lots of stray packs of dogs

out there but I never really believed him, but now I

did.  They began to move toward me, I figured that if

I got them in the water I had a better chance to

defend myself (pond was about 12 ft deep), and I'm a

pretty good swimmer.  But once I got into the pond I

saw a blonde flash to my right, which looked like a

Great Dane.  All the dogs squared off, almost like

they were getting ready to fight.  The funny thing is

that the Great Dane looked like the female Dane that

had been our family dog for 16 years (she had just

recently passed away).  All the dogs squared off for

about 30 seconds and then out of nowhere the pack just

turned and ran off yelping and whining.  I stood in

the pond for a few seconds longer, then I yelled

Ginger (which was our dogs name) this dog turned to

look at me as if  yeah its me, your safe, then wagged

its tail and barked.  I then said under my breath "I

love ya girl", it was a tradition to tell her that

every time that I left the house.  The animal then ran

into to brush as if saying that I will keep them away

until you get home.  To this day I still have Great

Danes and all the females are named Ginger, though I

am on Ginger 7, thanks for listening, this has been on

my mind for a long time. Oh by the way, it took me

about 2 hours to push that bike of mine home.

Ghostly Experiences

By: gerag_00@hotmail.com

My wife and I have been experiencing some weird stuff at the house for the

past year and a half. First my wife was sleeping on the sofa in the living

room when she heard something scratch the sofa.  The weird thing about it is

that we don't own a cat, but what she saw was something that looked like a

gargoyle. Also,  one night as I slept on the same sofa in the same living

room, I felt like if someone had sat on the sofa. I felt the cushions sink

and I woke up to find no one in the room. My wife was asleep in the bedroom,

my daughter was asleep in her room so I don't know what to think. You can

also hear little steps running around the house every so often when our

daughter is asleep or when she is not there.

Neighbors Cat

By: katana@crestviewcable.com

I was living in an old house that had been converted into apartments, and strange things happened often.  This is only one story.  My roommate had two cats, and we left the back door open when we were home, to let the cats come and go at will.  Therefore, I was not surprised to see a large grey and white cat strolling through the living room (Sarah's cats are black).  I called out "kitty kitty kitty" and the cat walked toward me, and then vanished!  Sarah told me later that the woman in the downstairs apartment had a large grey and white cat.  Kitty had been hit by a car, and was buried in the back yard.

Several weeks later, my brother was visiting, and we had another visit from the grey cat.  Ben heard one of the cats eating dry cat food, and he turned to look.  Since the cat at the food bowl was grey, not black, Ben thought a stray had wandered in.  He chased the cat into my bedroom, and spent an hour tearing the room apart, but he never found the cat.  What is really strange to me is, why would a dead cat eat?

I later moved into my own apartment, brand new, I was the first tenant, so I was reluctant to believe it was haunted.  I still don't know what I was seeing.  It appeared to be a small furry black creature, about the size of a golf ball, and it moved FAST!  I wasn't sure I was really seeing these things, I only caught sight from the corner of my eye.  I would have believed I was seeing things, but the little creatures always ran toward the vertical blinds, and then one slat would start swinging.  Has anyone else seen these things?   Small, black, furry, and they seemed to roll, rather than run on legs.

Ghosts and Other Things

By: jgardnerosu04@wowway.com

I've always been a believer of ghosts.  My belief comes from my mom and my

aunt.  It's almost funny because my brother has always been the one with

the ability to "know" when something is there or actually see

something.  I'd asked my mom why I'd not been given a chance to see

anything.  Sometimes I wish I hadn't wanted that to happen.  The first

thing I witnessed was in a cemetery with a good friend and my brother.  It

was a very small cemetery in the middle of a cow field on a hill.  We were

all walking around one area when my brother shouted there was a swarm of

bees around him and he and my friend started running down the hill to the

truck.  I stood there laughing at them and said they weren't bees, they

were butterflies.  I remember standing in the middle of a bunch of

butterflies.  My brother and friend had evidence of the bees, though,

because they had both been stung.  I was 15 at the time.  I can't really

remember anything in particular happening again until I was 22.

If I remember correctly, it was spring 2000.  My husband and I had just

bought a small 3 bedroom ranch in September of 1999 and in November I

became pregnant.  By spring I was taking a nap almost every night before I

went to bed.  My husband worked third shift, so I could do that without

anyone caring.  One night I dozed off on the couch and woke up with a start

sometime around midnight.  I looked up in the corner of my living room and

saw two balls of light, each about the size of a baseball, bouncing and

floating around.  I looked down at  my dog and she was also staring in the

same direction as the light.  I wear glasses because I'm a little

near-sighted and I had taken them off before I had fallen asleep.  I

grabbed them and put them on just to be sure I wasn't seeing things and the

balls were still there after I put my glasses on.  They bounced around for

what seemed a few minutes and just disappeared.  For some reason it didn't

scare me.  Yes, it made me think about things, but I wasn't a bit

scared.  It never  happened again and I pretty much forgot about it.  My

husband had started to complain that the sliding glass door was unlocked

when he got up in the afternoons.  He blamed me for not locking it after

letting the dog back in the house in the morning before I'd leave for

work.  After I was blamed for that, I made sure to double check the door

was locked every morning before I left.  It wasn't unlocked everyday, but

it did happen often enough.  I also had a shelf that was secured to a wall

fall and a picture fall over backward.  That's a little difficult

considering the "leg" that props up the picture had to be pushed in toward

the picture in order for it to fall over.  I'd tried it a few times and

every time I tried, the picture fell forward before I could get the leg

folded in far enough for it to fall back.  After those things occurred, I

told my husband there was probably someone else living with us.  At first

he didn't believe me, but after a couple months he started to agree with

me.  He was home by himself during the day and would never tell me

everything that happened to him.

In January 2002 I was in a minor car accident.  I was sore all over, and

with a toddler at home, things could've been tough.  My husband decided

he'd take her to visit his grandmother 1 1/2 hours away so I could rest

without our daughter wanting me to pick her up all the time.  They left

early in the evening and planned on coming back the next afternoon.  I had

to get up the next morning to go to school.  My alarm was set for 6 a.m.

and when it went off I hit the snooze.  I was sleeping on the side of the

bed farthest from the bedroom door and my back was facing the door at the

time.  Not long after I'd hit the snooze I heard footsteps coming down the

hallway from the living room.  I thought it was my husband, which I thought

was odd because he would've had to leave where he was at 4:30 a.m. to get

home at that time.  The footsteps came into my room and sat on the bed.  By

that time I was scared.  I reached around over my body to feel around on

the other side of the bed.  I have a feather bed on my bed and I felt an

indentation where someone was sitting.  I decided to slowly turn over and

as I did, this "man" laid down beside me.  As I looked at him, I realized

it was my husband!  It wasn't him in a physical sense though.  I gasped and

knew something terrible had happened and when I asked him what had

happened, this "man" said "I'm not really your husband, I just thought I'd

show up as someone you know so I wouldn't scare you".  As he said that he

became a blonde haired man with broad shoulders.  He put his hands behind

his head and smiled.  I asked who he was and he told me his first

name.  It's been a couple years and I can't think of the name right off the

top of my head.  He told me he lived there and he mentioned some things

that made me believe he'd lived there sometime during the '60's or

'70's.  He mentioned something about my daughter and I asked him if he'd

seen her.  He told me "Yeah, I have.  I stand there and look at her at

night when she's in her crib".  That sent chills up my spine.  That

explained when I'd wake up from something moving in her room that I'd hear

over the monitor and then hear my daughter move and usually wake up.  I

asked if he would please leave her alone and he agreed to do that.  He also

told me not to change the house.  As he told me that he became very

agitated.  It was odd that he'd said that because my husband and I had

talked about remodelling.  I told him we'd keep things the way they

were.  After that, he left.  The next thing I knew, my alarm was going off

again.  It had only been eight minutes, but I swear the whole incident had

lasted much longer.

I kept it to myself the whole day and that evening I told my mom and my

aunt.  They think it's terrible to have a ghost living in the house with

people, so they wanted to get him to leave.  They left my aunt's to go to

my house 5 minutes away and returned around an hour later.  They wouldn't

tell me what they'd done, but said he was gone.  I got ready to leave and

asked my mom to go back with me.  As I headed home a strange feeling came

over me and I looked in my rear view mirror.  There "he" was, sitting in my

back seat.  I became so frightened I started to cry.  When we got to my

house I told my mom they hadn't gotten rid of him.  The house felt very

negative when we walked in.  I gathered some things and stayed at my aunt's

that night.  After that, nothing really happened.  I moved out of the house

November of that year due to splitting up with my husband.

Ever since then I can "feel" energy in houses or other places I

go.  Cemeteries are the worst for me.  My mom says it's a gift.  She

questioned my ability until I told her about her husband's dead wife being

at their house.  After I told her that, she revealed she'd actually seen

her in their bedroom.  I don't mind being able to notice these things, I

just wish I'd get to use this little gift a little more often.

Thank you so much for your time.  Feel free to e-mail me.

Just One Story of Four

By: roger@compu.net

THIS MAY NOT SEEM VERY FRIGHTNING TO SOME BUT TO A BUNCH OF YOUNG KIDS IT WAS!

WE WERE PLAYING AROUND WITH A CARDBOARD BOX THAT LOOKED LIKE A COFFIN. IT WAS ON A BACKROAD IN TROY TENNESSEE CALLED THUNDER ROAD. WE WERE KIND OF ABOUT MIDDLE WAYS FROM EITHER END OF THE ROAD WHERE THERE WAS A SMALL FIELD OF HIGH GRASS AND WEEDS SURROUNDED BY WOODS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD. THERE WERE FIVE OF US PLAYING LIKE WE WERE VAMPIRES TAKING TURNS GETTING IN THE BOX AND THEN RISING UP KIND OF SLOW LIKE A VAMPIRE IN THE MOVIES. ANYWAY I WAS STANDING THERE WAITING MY TURN WHEN I HAPPENED TO LOOK ACROSS AT THE LITTLE FIELD AND I SEEN THIS MALE LOOKING FIGURE STANDING THERE. IT WAS WAREING CLOTHES FROM AN OLDER TIME AND WHERE THE FACE WAS SUPOSE TO BE THERE WAS JUST A HAZE LIKE GLOW. I TOLD MY BROTHER AND MY FRIENDS TO LOOK AND THEY ALL CLAIMED TO SEE IT TOO. WE ALL RAN TOWARD THE END OF THE ROAD THAT WENT TO THE HIGHWAY AND OUR HOUSE. ACROSS THE HIGHWAY FROM THUNDER ROAD THERE IS A BAPTIST CHURCH AND THE ROAD BESIDE IT GOES TOWARD WHERE I USE TO LIVE AND WE SAW THE FIGURE THERE TOO. WE KEPT RUNNING AND WHEN WE CAME UP TOO WHERE THE LAUNDRYMAT USE TO BE THERE WAS A GRAVEL ROAD THAT CUT THROUGH TO ANOTHER ROAD ABOUT TWO BLOCKS FROM MY OLD HOUSE. THERE AT THE BACK END OF THE LAUNDRYMAT ON THE END AWAY FROM US IT WAS THERE AGAIN. WE KEPT RUNNING AND ON MY OLD STREET TWO HOUSES DOWN FROM WHERE I LIVED AT THE BACK END OF A GARAGE WE SAW IT THE LAST TIME. WE GOT TO MY HOUSE AND ALL FIVE OF US DIDN'T GO OUTSIDE THE REST OF THE DAY. WE LOCKED ALL THE DOORS AND WINDOWS AND JUST SAT THERE SCARED TO DEATH.

WELL THAT IS ONE OF MY STORIES AND TRUE. I DON'T THINK NOW THAT WHATEVER IT WAS MENT US ANY HARM CAUSE IT HAD TIME TO GET AHEAD OF US EVERYTIME WE SAW IT. I WISH I KNEW WHAT IT WANTED WITH US?

Demon hitches ride to Texas

By: TouKEEPch@aol.com

Several years ago while visiting Key West my daughter and I went on a ghost tour. While looking and listening to the tale of one particular ghost in one historic home, I felt this distinct heat sensation on my right arm.   So much so, I looked around to see if I was under some sort of heat air vent, there was none that I could see.  We continued our stay another day and actually went back in broad daylight to see the "oh so ominous" houses, just to get the spooks out, yeh right!  Then, we took a flight home and returned around 10:30 P.M. where we we're to pick up our vehicle left in the parking lot, but for some reason couldn't find!  After almost 3 hours of frantically searching, we found it and drove home.  Upon entering our home, we noticed it was unbearably cold.  I thought "oh no" I must have turned the thermostat down instead of up upon leaving.  So I go to check, expecting the worst.... a broken air conditioning unit, but I didn't get to check it at all, because I heard music coming from my daughter's bathroom.  I see the radio and proceed to turn it off, only it wasn't on, not even plugged in.  I call my daughter in to ask if she hears the music, she does and proceeds to turn it off, but of course it's not on! But we still hear music.  I am grappling for answers, and decide to check the air condition closet next to the bathroom.  The door handle turns in my hand, (deep breath) I try again, telling myself "that did not just happen!"  It happened again and my daughter saw it this time.  I quickly decide we are leaving the house and going to my mom's in the next town even though by now it's almost 2 A.M.. Certainly she'll understand once we explain.  We pick up a few things and get to the front door only to hear what sounds like a thousand bugs hitting it as if the outside light had been on forever, only it hadn't because we had just gotten there!  (another deep breath) And I cry out God @#$% you!  The sound of a thousand bugs stops, instantly!  My daughter says "Mom, you made them go away!"  More afraid of what was beyond our door than on this side of it, I sit down to think things through.  My daughter says she'll just turn the t.v. on and try to forget about it.  She flips the t.v. on, but only a green line through the middle shows up. Great, our t.v.'s out too!  But, while she's messing around trying to fix it, I notice something in the reflection of the t.v..  I can't quite make it out.... yes, it looks like... a monkey... jumping around.   (Deep breath, shake head and look again)  Yes, definitely, it looks like a small monkey jumping around in the reflection.  That would make it between  the t.v. and the coffee table in reality, but the cats are....?   Well, Lauren is looking out the window and pawing at the glass and Troy is behind her with his back arched like a scary cat!  Hmmmm. I calmly, yet firmly tell my daughter to turn the t.v. off, pick up my bible on the end table and come quickly.  She tells me she's trying to fix the t.v. and...  I repeat myself, more firmly. She hands me my bible and plops down on the sofa.  I begin reading scripture and the cats, neither of which are lap cats, jump up onto the sofa and in my lap and begin purring, loudly.  And slowly we begin to calm down enough to go to bed although we leave all the lights on, just in case.  Next morning, I check the air conditioning and it's fine, temp is fine, t.v. turns on like normal.  Cats are sleeping soundly.  What exactly was that?  I have my ideas, and I will never, never, ever, ever, ever go on another ghost tour and give a demon a hitch!

A Story that Happened to My Aunt

By: ForeGivenSarO@aol.com

Now I really love reading your true ghost story! In my family its known for me to tell the ghost stories on the camping trips, but this summer my aunt had her own to tell and she is extremely religious and believes that ghosts are Satan's messengers. Now here goes her experience. My aunt lets call her "Rose" was reading her bible in bed while my uncle "Bob" was watching TV in the living room. As she was laying in bed a handsome gentleman came into the room. She described him light skinned but with dark hair and a beard. Smiling the gentleman sat down on the bed and asked "Rose, come with me I have something to show you." My aunt calmly looked at him and replied. " No." and returned to reading the passage in her bible. The gentleman stood up and began to pace and sighing muttering her name. Finally my aunt had enough and shouted "In the name of god. leave my house now!" The gentleman looking angry and left the room. A few minutes later Uncle Bob came into the bedroom and room asked her if she called for him and asked if she seen the Limo that was pulling out of there driveway. I honestly don't know if this story is true or not..or if she was visited by a ghost or "Satan's messengers." But I thought to share this with you anyway. Thanks.

The Lady Near the Cemetery

By: VinceP@discovery.co.za

I live in the town of Alberton, South Africa. In our town there is a very spooky road that goes past a cemetery and ends in a dead-end. On all the occasions that I have travelled this road at night, there was a layer of mist about six feet above the road's surface. There are also no street lights and no houses nearby. I once heard a story of an old burnt out car that haunts this road. Apparently, in order to see this car, you need to flash your lights at the gates of the cemetery, drive to where the road ends, make a u-turn and look in your rear-view mirror. At this point the ghost car will become visible and start to follow you.

When my friends and I heard this story, we decided to go check it out. However, the story of the car turned out to be a hoax but what we saw that night was much scarier and disturbing. We drove down the dark and isolated road at around midnight on a cold winter night. The road passed through a creek so it was very misty and scary looking. Just past the cemetery, we noticed a woman standing on the side of the road. She looked to be in her mid-thirties and had blonde hair and a pale complexion. As we got closer to the woman, we noticed that she was draped in a white bed sheet and that she was bare feet. It was really odd to see a woman alone at night at such an isolated place. Also it was very cold that night and she only had the sheet around her. We stopped next to her to offer help but she didn't say anything and had no expression on her face what so ever. Just then we realized that she wasn't standing but that she was hovering above the ground. She held her hand out towards the car and started to move closer to us. This obviously scared the hell out of us and we sped away. When we looked back, the lady was gone.

When My Father was Dying

By: GutierrM@sharpsec.com

It was in September, 1998, my father had been suffer cancer of liver since November 6, 1997 when he felt sick one night,  we had to drive him to the ER;  in matters of days after several studies, he got a diagnostic of this silent killer( let me just make clear that as long as I remember, I been witnessed that he wouldn't drink a single glass or bottle of beer or wine unless it was New Year's Eve.)

In his death of bed, I remember that I had to fly to Monterrey N.L. Mexico in an emergency situation; well, the Doctor had tell my step mother that my father would no longer than a couple of days.

I arrived Mexico, along with my 4 year old son, came to see my father right away, to let him know that we loved him very much.  Most of the family and I, spent the rest of the day by his side; it was getting so late about 2:30 am and I went up stairs to get some rest; I remember the room that I get to sleep in have the entrance door in the middle of the wall, and it had two twin beds one on each side of the door against the side walls, Since I was young, I wanted to leave the beds for the grown up family members; so, what I did, I  went to sleep in the floor in the middle of the twin beds along with my son with my head towards the door.

About 4:30 in the morning My son woke up and he start slamming my right arm and face, and he keeps saying "ma, ma, grandpa, ma, grandpa" and I told him: ok Gordito (Fatty), grandpa is sleeping right now, we're gona see him in a little while, and I told him go back to sleep he fall asleep again, 1/2 hr later he woke up again and keep repeating the same words " ma, ma, grandpa, ma, grandpa" and I told him, yes, my dear we're gona see him as soon as there is sun light, and I hug my kid, he fell asleep again and I remember as if it was yesterday, I had barely fell asleep when I did feel that somebody, kicked my pillow kind of soft with out touching my head,  I look around there was nobody around, my son still sleeping, nobody was nearby the stairs, so I laid down my head back in my pillow and I was just barely falling asleep again, when it happen, someone or something had kicked my pillow a bit harder than the first time, I got scared and I took my boy in my arms and I run, "flew" down stairs, on the way there my son keeps saying "Is grandpa mami, Is grandpa" well MY Father passed away about 7:20 or 7:30 am, couple of hrs later and I Feel and I think that my daddy's spirit was trying to tell me first thru my son then kicking my pillow, that he was going to leave my father's body. and he want me to be there at that time. I had to mention also that my brother and sister, were flying to see him before he died, they couldn't make it on time, On their way to see my father my sister had certain kind of vision from God asking her if she will rather see her father alive with an IV all over his body or let him died in Peace?  and she told God: I want to see him alive; but if his is going to suffer more than he had suffer already, I rather, with all my broken heart want to let him go. At this very same time my step mother had ask me if I want my father to live a few more hrs, the doctor can give him ad IV ,but this will be so painful for my father, the cancer had spread to other vital organs at this time that the kidneys had stop their function 24 hours prior this time and he wasn't able to pi, so all the liquid has been retained by his body, he was suffering to much and IV will be worst. I hesitate for a while and I recall he said once  that He didn't want to have any kind of IV's on him when the time comes so as his will I told them : No IV's

Also I have to mention that several months after my Father Died My brother did see him, at home, in Chicago and this happens during the Day light.

Very Strange

By: jesslea8304@yahoo.com

My name is Jessica.  I am 21 years old and have been in many strange situations.  One that stands out in my mind happened when I was 16.  I was going to a friends house and of course there was a train on the tracks.  Being bored I decided to go visit my great grandmothers burial spot which wasn't far from there.  It was a nice day not to cold but not hot either.  As I pulled into the cemetery I suddenly realized I had no clue where her headstone was located.  Driving along I stopped at a familiar spot and got out.  I remember a weird tree the was right next to her headstone.  I searched for about 5 minutes and was going to consider it a lost cause.  A sudden, almost eerie breeze picked up and made me turn out of the direction of the wind.  Right in front of me was the tree and my Great-Grandmothers headstone. I got chills but I wasn't scared.  My Grandmother was a wonderful person who would never think of hurting me.  I sat on the ground a chatted out loud to her about things in the family and with me.  I don't know how long i had been there.  I was pretty cold by the time I was going to leave.  I said my farewell to grandma and headed for my car.  Walking along I realized i had left my car running and the windows were down.  I was ready to get in and turn on the heater.  As eerie as the breeze was, getting into my car was even more eerie.  Windows up and heater full blast.  I don't know if this was the works of my great- grandmother or one of the many relatives i have buried out there.  At least I know they still care about me and try to protect me.

Haunting In The Dead Woods

By: dark_lotus_2001@hotmail.com

First off, I'd like to start by saying I have a forest in my backyard (that's basically all u need to know), and also I know no one will believe me, but this story is 100% true. One day (about a couple years ago) I was chatting on the computer when all of the sudden I got extremely bored. So seeing as I never checked out the woods, I decided to do so. It was in October (about a week before a kickass concert..Tool w/ Meshuggah..but this has nothin to do with the concert), so carrying on. I started walking around, and I kept hearing leaves moving and sticks cracking (the normal sound of the woods). I looked around, and to my surprise I saw something move really fast deep into the woods. I starting running after it to see what it was, but nothing was there. I stood there, out of breath, and in the need of a cigarette. So I light up a cig, but when I looked at the ground I saw some blood. Knowing it came from the thing moving fast, I thought it was a deer. I followed the blood trail while smoking my cig, and it lead me to a space of dirt in the ground about 6 feet long. I wanted to dig it up to see if there was anything burried there, so I ran back home and got a shovel. en I went back there, the blood trail was still there, and then I got a frightening and depression feeling, so I went back home. Later that night, there was a knock on the door. I answer it and it was a very sad and frightened lady. She said "Can u help me? My husband is wounded in the woods." So I grab a flashlight and followed her. She took me to where I was earlier that day and pointed towards some bushes. I shine my light and there was nothing there. I said "Look lady, I dont know what you're trying to pull, but if.." I stopped right there and noticed, she was gone without a trace. Then I heard a faint whisper say "please help me, go get help" followed by a loud gunshot. I ran in fright and made it home. The next day (extremely curious about the event before) I went back there. Nothing was there, except some markings in the ground. I kneeled down to check it out, and the markings read "Thank You". I never told anyone about this (all they'd say is "yeah right" and think I'm crazy). I hope all of you believe me. Feel free to email me.

The Voices

By: Jjbault@aol.com

I've got a story that i don't tell very much but when i lived with my daughter in her first apt i was sitting at the dinning room table reading or something and i kept hearing a voices but she was the only apt on that side downstairs and there was not any next to her. As i kept sitting there the voices got louder but i was the only one to hear them on one else did.  So i didn't tell anyone for a week or two  and then i heard this little girl talking to me and her name was tabatha "TABBY" and her father killed her because she had dropped him not on purpose but her father beat her really bad. And he put her and her baby brother in a cave which was on there land, well he locked them in the cave with only a candle and he told her to remember what she had done to Johnathan. She kept crying but no one heard her, but her older sister "MARY" tired to get her out and there father found out and he beat mary til she was dead and threw her body in the lake across the road, she was found but no one knew who she was because there father never had friends or any family so there was not anything on the family. Tabby she talked to be and for a awhile she was inside of me i got so scared and hide inside a closet fearing that her father would find me, my daughter didn't know what to think but she did find the cave right where i told her it was and she went to the libary and found out about the family from old newspapers after there family hadn't heard from there brother and they found him dead and his wife was dead too. The names were the "SMITHS"

and its all true at least for me.. And then my daughter was moved to another apt and there i was watching tv which was in front of the window and i seen people in the glass behind me but when i looked back no one was there, even after the move to the other apt i kept heaaring "TABBY" talking to me i guess sshe must have felt safe with me. And to this day i still thinnk of her and all of the other things had happen and when i go past there i remember her.

The Cabin

By: RespectUSMC@aol.com

Me, my dad and my uncle went to a cabin in Death Valley that we always go to and spent the night.  We ate dinner and started settling down for the night.  The good thing about this place is that you can hear someone driving from a mile away and even footsteps from a good distance.  We didn't see anyone all day on the trip thru the canyon and into the evening.  We shut off the lantern about 9:00 p.m..  About 11:00 we woke up to what sounded like pipes being moved around underneath the cabin, we just thought rats so we went to sleep again.  About an hour later we woke up to a sound like cardboard being dragged across the rocks outside.  So we went out armed to the teeth (remember Wrong Turn?) wanting to know who's out there.  Didn't see anyone, any tracks or heard anymore sounds so we went back in.  We got settled down again when we heard a car door being slammed shut (there's a car port at the cabin, we were in one vehicle, it was locked up tight and we didn't hear anyone pull up).  We said "That's it we're outta here", so we loaded up and left in about 30 minutes.  I thought it might be a ghost of someone that Charles Manson murdered because his cabin is about 5 miles from the cabin we stayed at.

Story that Really Happened

By: krystalosborne22@yahoo.com

I have always been able to see things and feel things that most people haven't been able to do. As a child, I would often see strange shadows in my room. I'd watch them slide under my door. I used to cover my head with my blanket and pray that they'd go away. Me and my sister shared a room and we had bunk beds. One particular night we went to bed a bit later than we usually did. About 2 in the morning I was suddenly awoken by a strange feeling. You know the one where the little hairs on the back of your neck raise and you feel like you're being watched. I sat up( I slept on the top bunk) and leaned over my bed to wake my sister. After she was awake, I told her about the feeling I had. She scared very easily so she climbed up to my bed to lie with me, It had probably been about five minutes since she had moved when we felt our bed give an almighty shake. We held onto to each other completely frozen in fear. Out bed comtinued to shake for about ten minutes. It shook so hard that I think it may have actually left the floor for a brief period. We called for our parents and they came in. It stopped the moment  they had opened the door. They said we had just watched to much t.v. and had let our imaginations run away. Needless to say me ans her decided to sleep with mom and dad that night. The bed shaking never quite until I was about 14 years old. By then I had gotten used to it and tended to ingore it. My sister was different though. She slept in the living room a lot. It stopped doing the shaking though about 14, like I said. Me and my sister, of course, still tried to persude people that the bed really did shake at night. People thought we were just joking around and trying to scare them. I had told my boyfriend about it when we were 15 and he seemed to think it funny, too. When we were aound 18-19 he and his friend ended up staying at our house do to a blizzard. My sister eagerly gave up our room and me and her slept in the living room while my boyfriend slept on the bed (by then, we didn't have bunk beds. There was only one bed in there because my sis insisted that she didn't one and often slept in the living room). while his friend slept on the floor. After I had fallen asleep I heard someone calling my name. It was my boyfriend so I went to find out what he needed but before I had even reached the hall him and his friend came charging out about knocking me over. They told me my bed had begun to shake very bad. The friend who was on the floor swore to me that he saw red eyes under the bed and that he would never sleep in that room again. It's funny though. Both me and my parents bedrooms both had problems. My dad would never admit it, but my mom would be sure to let us know that she felt strange things too. Another strange story involves me as a child around 8 years old. My sister was staying the night at a friends house, my parents were outside saying goodbye to company and I was alone in the living room holding my cat Felipe. It was Christmas time so our tree was lit. It was against one wall. Our couch was across from it. That's where I was sitting. I heard a crash in my parents bedroom and got scared. I heard laughing and footsteps that seemed to be running down our hall. My cat had gone crazy and was really scratching me. I looked up to see if I could see anything and almost wet myself. A small black creature with long ears and hair growing out of them came into our living room full tilt and ran into our Christmas tree with such force that it knocked it over. I was completly stunned and just sat there watching. The creature seemed to melt away. Now that I think about it I would almost have to describe him as part goat. Like his legs were like goat legs, bent the way that they are. His torso was sorta human looking, only wrinkly. His ears were long and almost sort of bent at the top. He had a long nose also. It's hard to describe the face. I supose the best way would be to say it looked kinda like an orc from lord of the rings. I told everyone about this creature but everyone seemed to think i was a lunatic. Last year I went home for my mom's birthday and told the story to my mom's friend and neighbor, Barb. It surprised me to find that she didn't laugh at me. Instead, she said that a kid that lived near my parents had told her the same story not too long before. The kid said he'd been sitting in the kitchen and thought he saw someone looking in the window. When he went to check, he saw the creature there and it spoke. It was in another language. I can't remember the words it said, but the way she said it, it sounded like latin. Anyway, I have many more stories, but feel it would take up too much time to relive every single one. Thanks for your time :)

Sleep Over

By: dkcole@cableone.net

I was having a friend spend the night at my house. We had just gotten back

from a movie and decided to sleep in the basement. I felt like We were being

watched from the extra bedroom. When my friend looked over she saw a face

form out of the t-shirts that were hanging to dry. We decided maybe it would

be better to just go to sleep. Both of us were just about asleep at 2:30 AM

when we heard footsteps in the basement with us. At first I thought that it

was my dad, he gets up at odd times of night occasionally. Then I realized

that no one had come down the stairs. Also if my dad had come downstairs the

dog would have followed. We both noticed that the room had started getting

very cold. My friend and I agreed to look toward the spare bedroom at the

same time. We looked and saw a woman wearing a white dress (19th century

style) standing in the door way (I could only see the feet but she saw the

body and faceless head). By this time it was quite cold but we decided just

to wait it out, figuring she would leave. Not so. The heater started

clicking like chain hitting metal. Then we felt her enter the room and sit

in the chair next to where we were still on the floor. It was like she was

there to protect us. Then my friend said "look at the mirror." We had both

seen faces of the woman and a hooded man who was dark and shadowed. He acted

like he was trapped in the glass case with the mirror behind it. We both

tried to get up but were held down in the room with the spirits. Finally we

got up and ran upstairs. As soon as we got up we heard screaming, high

pitched noises and metal sounds coming from the basement. This is not the

only time appearanes have happened there. The TV also turns on by its self,

only to turn off when you reach the doorway. And rocking chairs rock on

their own. Well that's the story hope you enjoy!

My Grandparents

By: jesslea8304@yahoo.com

We brought both of my grandparents home to pass away peacefully.  I lived with them for the first seven years of my life.  I loved them both with all my heart.  My granfather had been sick for several years with diabetes.  Finally it was to much for him.  We took him home in June of my senior year in high school.  Death is a strange thing.  He thought he was gone before he really was.  They had taken his pacemaker out and it was a matter of time.  My family made me and my cousins go on to school the next morning.  My grandfather lived for 20 hours.  At about 10 something I was sitting in class and just felt the need to leave.  I grabbed my stuff and headed for home.  My cousin met me at the stairs.  He knew I already knew.  We didn't even say anything just left.  I got up and left at almost the exact time of death.  That was one of the worst days of my life.

That was in June.  In September I move back in with my grandmother.  She had been sick for going on 8 years with emphsemia.  I didn't realize moving into my grandfathers room meant sharing it with him.  I would always wake up to someone in the bathroom, which was in the bedroom.  You could hear them washing their hands, shaving,  running the shower.  And everytime I would make sure everyone was asleep before I would freak out.  My grandmother always reassured me it was my grandpa.  It still creeped me out.  One night I was searching for this certain song he would play for me when I was younger.  I looked through all of his tapes and settled on it being a lost cause.  The next morning i woke up to the song playing.  I ran straight to my grandma.  She told me to tell him not to scare me.  After that I always had a comfortable feeling when I was at home.

The beginning of November was filled with heart ache.  My uncle died suddenly of a massive heart attack.  This made my granmother so upset she ended up in the hospital. Three days later we brought her home.  She lived for 3 days.  She suffered alot.  It was awful. After taking all those days I had to attend my certified nursing class.  At lunch time I needed to call home.  I let it ring and ring.  I knew someone had to be there.  Finally my Uncle answered the phone.  Hesitant to give the phone to my mom, I just hung up and left class.  When I got home my Mother informed me that when the phone rang my grandmother took her last breathe.

Her presence was also known after her death.  Only I think she remembered that I freak out because she let me know she was there in a subtle way.  Like closing doors for me.  And sometimes after they were gone I would just sit in the house and cry and reminsce then I would feel as though they were hugging me or so thing like that.  Just comforting me i guess.  My grandfather also visited me in a dream telling me that I would be fine that they would always be with me.  I beleive it because there have been so many times I should have gotten hurt or in trouble, something made me change my mind about whatever it was.  They are my Guardian Angels.  Cherish your family they will help you even after death.

Detroit Michigan

By: KittyKatFish68@aol.com

This is a true story... i have told it to a few people that i know believe in the paranormal, but don't want to sound like a quack to those that don't, so i kinda keep it to myself...

i lived  Detroit...  we moved in when i was 4... i used to hear footsteps at night & the creaking of the floor but assumed it was my mom or stepdad... i used to get really creepy feelings that i was being watched as well... one morning i was laying in bed & a this weird feeling came over me... my eyes popped open & i saw a bluish-white apparition floating in the doorway of my bedroom... like it was watching me... it looked a human figure, only it had no feet or visible parts like fingers, eyes, etc.... i laid there for about 10 minutes just watching it to see what it would do or see if my eyes were playing tricks on me... i could hear my mom getting ready for work in the bathroom, but i was frozen in fear waiting for something to happen... finally, after realizing this thing wasn't about to go anywhere, i called for my mom... as soon as i yelled "mom", it disappeared... i found out when i got older that the old man that owned our house had died there... we heard it was suicide, but never followed up on it...

Happened Until I Left

By: m.vaughn1@comcast.net

I have had paranormal experiences since I was a child. The first happened when i was about 5. We lived in a house in Bakersfield CA, and I remember walking down the hallway into the bathroo and as I walked into the bathroom I felt very scared. I looked up for some reason and I saw a pair of eyes staring at me. I do not know the history of that house. Fastfoward a few years... My mom, grandma and I lived in a new house (we were the first ones to live there) EVERYtime I was upstairs I felt afraid, I heard things when there was nothing there, it was a two story house and I could never just walk down the stairs because as I would walk down the hallway to the stairs my chest would get very tight and the hair on my neck would stand up. I would wake up in the middle of the night and feel a pressence by me I would just shut my eyes and pray that it would leave me alone. It continued to happen until I left the house.

Ghost of My Dog

By: barnes9200@hotmail.com

When I was 11 my sister came home and bugged my dad to let us have a pup from her boyfriend's dog's litter.  We got the pick of the litter, and my sister named her Annabelle.  Despite my father's objections, Annie became more than just a household pet.

My mother said it always seemed as if Annabelle understood us like she was a person.  You could actually talk to her, and she would nod her head, or she would just look at you and pay attention.  She also seemed to be saying OUT when she wanted to go outside.  She always had different barks for different reasons, and the one to go out always struck us as funny because it did sound like the word out.

One occasion that struck us funny is after she had a surgery for gastric torsion.  Before that, she was very protective of me, but afterward she grew quite fond of my dad.  He was the one who told the vet despite the costs or risks to do the surgery.  She actually jumped up on my dad when we picked her up after surgery and laid at his feet constantly.

She also was very fond of my mom.  It was almost like a ritual that when my mom fed her, she put her nose up and kissed my mom's cheek when she was fed.

Here's the good part...

She was almost 13 and we could see her health deteriorating.  Then, I was at my boyfriend's house, and had the most horrid dream that she died, and I actually woke up crying.  Right after I woke up, my dad called and said to get home and we had to take her to the vet.  When I got home my parents were distraught and said she did not come out from under their bed all night, and refused to.  I went in their room and said "Annie, I'm home, let's go" and she came right out, and immediately went to our car and got in when we opened the door.  At the vet's office my father became upset and begged the vet to "just give her something so she could go home with us".  Our vet cried and said there was nothing she could do.  I then said "Daddy, we have to let her go.  She's miserable." and she looked up at me and actually smiled :)  She was put down shortly after.

After she was gone, we decided to keep her ashes from her cremation.  I went out in our yard to spread them in her favorite spots.  As I did this, a small white butterfly landed on my shoulder.  I tried three times to shoo it off, and it would not move.  My mom said "Look at that!" and I said "Annabelle", an
